This 16x20 Football photo was signed by San Francisco 49ers Great and Super Bowl Champion Quarterback Steve Young. Young was originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but after two most forgettable seasons in Tampa he was traded to the 49ers to act as a backup Quarterback to 49ers legend Joe Montana. Due to Montana being injured Young was thrust into the starting role in San Francisco. Young would prove to be a capable starter and Montana was eventually traded to the Kansas City Chiefs. Young was an elite accurate passer. Young would go on to set a league record with a passing record record of 112.8 and would lead the league in this category for 6 straight years. Young would also win 2 NFL Most Valuable Player Awards, 3 Super Bowls (XXIII,XXIV,XXIX) and be named Super Bowl MVP of Super Bowl XXIX. After his retirement Young was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005; three years later the̴_49ers would retire his number 8. For authenticity purposes this item will come with a James Spence Authentication Certificate of Authenticity along with a matching serial numbered hologram placed upon the photo.
